Back in the saddle

Back from hols – sorry, wine buying expedition.

As usual my colleagues did a fantastic job while I was away and thanks in particular to Teresa and Gary for respectively womanning and manning the Felixstowe end of things.

While I was away, No. 16 Tacket Street in Ipswich opened for business. Best of luck to Phil and the team – you have an interesting wine list and I look forward to popping down for a beer too.

The bar looks terrific and there is space to relax on three floors which include a conference/function room.

Thursday’s 6.00-7.00 tasting this week in Felixstowe is Barbecue Drinks (even if summer is over) and for the first time, we are going to open one of Sticklegs Brewery’s fantastic ales for you to try as well as some fantastic wines.

Beer on the Pier

We have been asked to provide the wines to go along with the ales being offered at the Beer Festival in the leisure centre this weekend. Pop along on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday and have a look. Assuming the ales don’t all run out we should coincide with the Hotrod event too.

Belgian bottles

The new consignment of beer is in from Ertvelde and we have some glasses too. Visit Van Steenberge’s brand new website at

Our new shop window decoration is up. Its subtle and actually quite hard to photograph so I haven’t bothered. Come and have a look at our grapes!

Winefantastic was created in 2000 to import and distribute interesting wines. We have established strong links with producers all over the world and are proud to offer their wines. We also part-own Beerfantastic which brews beer.
